The Commemorative Badge for Field Pilots
This badge was awarded to all members who left flight duties due to injurys by flight accident and became physically unfit for active service. The silver metal badge consists of a wreath (oak leaves on the left and laurel leaves on the right) in its center an eagle is flying to the right over a landscape. On the top of the wreath the Kaiser´s crown is located. The badge was introduced in 1914 by the Kaiser. The Bavarian version of the badge has the bavarian king crown on top.
