Germany 43-44 - Generaloberst der Panzertruppen
Die Figur stellt Generaloberst Guderian dar. Als Sproß einer Soldatenfamilie am 17. Juni 1888 in Kulm (Westpreußen) geboren. 1914 - WK I Nachrichtenoffizier an der Westfront und 1917 Aufstieg in den Generalstab. Ab 1933 "Vater" der modernen und schlagkräftigen Panzertruppe in Deutschland. Kommandant der 2. Panzerdivision. 1938 am Einmarsch nach Österreich und das Sudetenland beteiligt. 1939 Befehlshaber des motorisierten XIX. Armeekorps und beteiligt am Überfall auf Polen (Blitzkrieg). 1940 maßgebliche Beteiligung an den Plänen von Mansteins zur Ardennen Offensive und dem Frankreichfeldzug. 1941 als Befehlshaber der Panzergruppe 2 beteiligt am Überfall auf die Sowjetunion (Kesselschlacht von Bialystok, Schlacht bei Smolensk) 17. Juli 1941 Verleihung des Eichenlaubs zum Ritterkeruz. Er ordnet 1942, nach dem Beginn der sowjetischen Winteroffensive, entgegen dem "Halte-Befehl" Hitlers, zur Vermeidung zu großer Verluste, den taktischen Rückzug seiner Truppen an. Er wird darauf hin im Dezember von Hitler abgesetzt und zur Führerreserve versetzt. 1943, nach der vernichtenden Niederlage bei Stalingrad von Hitler reaktiviert und zum Generalinspekteur der Panzertruppen ernannt. 1944 Chef des Generalstabes. Im März 1945, nach schweren Auseinandersetzungen um einen von Ihm geforderten Waffenstillstand mit den Westmächten, von Hitler verabschiedet. 1945-48 in US Kriegsgefangenschaft. Gestorben am 14. Mai 1954 in Füssen.
